Software Developer

Bio

Anne Mahonga is a Nairobi-based software developer with experience across web, mobile, and Bitcoin-adjacent systems. She holds a BSc in Information Technology and works with Python, Rust, and React, combining full-stack development with UI/UX decision-making to ship scalable, user-centric products.

She is active in open-source and decentralized ecosystems and has a strong track record in applied, competitive build environments. Anne won first place at a Bitnob × Bitcoin Dada hackathon for Bitcab, a ride-hailing application with native Bitcoin payments, and placed third at the Nostr Yakihonne hackathon for Yakisum, an AI-powered long-form article summarizer for Nostr.

Her work also includes building ₿Proof for the Bitcoin Dada community — a blockchain-anchored digital certificate system designed to issue, verify, and manage immutable proof of achievement. Anne is currently focused on building practical Bitcoin-native tools that prioritize usability, sovereignty, and real-world adoption.
